Scrum Master

About the role

We need someone who knows that agile is about delivering working software, not filling in Jira boards. You’ll keep our delivery teams running smoothly across client engagements, removing blockers, not creating them. If your idea of a good day is running a perfectly formatted sprint report while the team quietly loses the will to live, this isn’t the role for you. If you’d rather roll your sleeves up and help people ship things, keep reading.

What you’ll do

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews
• Remove impediments and shield the team from distractions
• Coach teams on agile principles and practices
• Track delivery metrics and flag risks early
• Work with clients to manage expectations and communicate progress
• Continuously improve team processes and ways of working
• Help new team members get up to speed quickly

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of Scrum Master or agile delivery experience
• Proven track record of delivering technical projects
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Experience working with engineering teams (cloud, DevOps, or software)
• Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders

Nice to have

• CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification
• Experience in a consultancy or agency environment
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows
• SAFe or Kanban experience for larger programmes
• Line management or people development experience

What we won’t ask you to do

• Enforce process for the sake of process
• Run stand-ups that last 45 minutes
• Produce burndown charts that nobody looks at
• Pretend SAFe is the answer to everything
